Before losing the connection of the Airtag it will indicate the user first. After onwards they will lose the connection if the device is far away from the iPhone device of the user. The indication is the symbol that Airtag will remember the user to connect with the Airtag device first. Some other conditions are also there such as battery issues, and firmware issues with the Apple Airtag devices.
