While the life of a halogen lamp is typically 1,000 to 2,000 hours, the life of an LED lamp is about 15,000 hours. However, if you look at LED lamps, their service life is 35,000 - 100,000 hours and even more. It is also worth knowing the fact that, unlike fluorescent and halogen lamps, LED light sources and LED lamps have a longer life in a cool rather than a warm room. And if the life of incandescent lamps is highly dependent on the number of on and off, this is not so important for LED lamps. How big is the payback time difference? Of course, environmental friendliness is important today, but the payback period is also taken into account when choosing. How economical is an LED lamp compared to a halogen lamp? For example, what would be more useful and environmentally friendly for the entrance of an apartment building - to use LED or halogen lamps? The answer is that payback must always be considered relative to something. If we look at the ROI of LED luminaires or LED lamps compared to, for example, halogen luminaires currently in use, we can say that with the same burning time, LEDs pay for themselves in about a month to a year of use. But, of course, it all depends on the exact burning time, the price of electricity, as well as the quality of the LED lamp. |
