There is no doubt Watson's physical attributes could help him become a first rounder, I just don't love putting him with Aaron Rodgers.Linderbaum is as safe as a selection as has been over the past five years. Seriously. He's certainly a center which is a undervalued position however, Linderbaum is a plug-andplay decade-plus player who is likely to rack up several Pro Bowls during his time.
This mock has him going to the Jaguars with the first selection from the round 2. My concern is that it's hard to imagine a smart, well-managed playoff team would not jump at this opportunity to secure the middle of their lineup -- even if it's not an immediate requirement.
Linderbaum is simply too good to allow this to happen.
It's true that it's a second round pick -- however, I'm thinking this could be a mess.
For my eyes, Seattle seems intimately aware of the future, and is recognizing that they're going to be a terrible team by 2022. I actually envy this about them. This is a team playing to improve their depth and made a splash in the QB-rich atmosphere during the 2023 Madden NFL 23 Draft.
Corral feels like an unnecessary waste in a tidal pool this deep. The mud also affects the water in the coming year. If you don't plan to start with him right away to assess, you're throwing away a selection now and making it difficult to justify a QB next year.
I'm not convinced that Seattle falling into this trap considering the talent remaining on the board. Kaiir Elam is on the board here, Skyy Moore is also available. Why would you not take advantage of two potential building blocks in order to get the QB that might not even be in the conversation in the next year?
